Scroll Bar is Black In Vegas Pro 8

I am having a problem with the Video Timeline Scroll Bar.
It appears at the bottom of the timeline blacked out.
I can drag the mouse unclicked across the black timeline and when I get to where the control point should be I get an indication and can use it. But it is not right.
Also I am having trouble installing the rest of my software on the Vegas Pro 8 disk.
The media manager and the DVD archetect wil not load.
the screens flash by too quickly to see what the problem is.

For the black scroll-bar, get into preferences and turn off "XP Theme Support."

As for the problem of loading your other software, I don't have any suggestions.

You have no computer specs or detailed information at all to work with here.... but by the sounds of it I would suggest you have a few serious OS problems that need to get fixed. Are yo having problems with other software as well? Are you running any anti virus systems or firewalls?
