Scrolling text in footer

Hi there,

What would be the easiest way to put quite a long text (about 100 words) in a red bar in the footer of a movie and make it scroll slowly from right to left like in Live news programs? I can put it in one text event and put keyframes on it but somehow it starts somewhere in the middle of the text and is totally random....
