I wouldn't trust the printed rating unless it is way over. I have found really good deals on class 10 SDHC and SDXC cards over the past year and ordered a number of each when the price was right.

Class 10 is a safe bet when you need class 6 speed.

There are speed tests you can download that will test the actual speed of a card. My experience is that the actual speeds vary widely between manufacturers, and often the cheaper cards are the quicker ones. For instance, some Kingston CF cards that were rated as fast enough for my Z7 actually weren't fast enough to use, whereas some much cheaper Transcend CF cards had speed to spare.

Can you give a link to the speed tests?

When using this program on both my 32GB Trancend Class 10 SDHC cards. I get errors but on 8GB cards no errors. Does this program work on 32GB cards as well? I have done a complete FAT32 format within Win7 and still get the errors.

Anyone else done a successful scan on 32GB cards?
