SD mpg Files with AC3 audio and SmartRender ?

I plan to buy the Sony HDR-CX6 Camcorder (European version of the CX7).
I made some SmartRender tests with video samples downloaded HERE.
There is no problem with AVCHD files but I always get recompression with SD files.
I’m doing something wrong or SmartRender is not possible with SD files with AC3 audio ?

TIA

Ok, it seems I made a mistake: All AVCHD video samples were transcoded into m2t format. With m2ts and mpg SD files, I can’t get SmartRendering.
Can someone confirm that ?

TIA

From the Vegas Comparison chart:

"No-recompress for Long GOP HDV and XDCAM"

In other words SD gets recompressed.

"In other words SD gets recompressed."

Not all the time.
With mpg SD files encoded with Vegas there is no recompression when reencoding in mpg SD.
