Seamless transition from trailer to main menu

I am trying to create in DVDA a seamless transition between trailer and main menu (video and background music - using a screenshot from the main menu at the end of the trailer and the same music loop). Until now I had no success, there is always a short "jump" between trailer and menu (probably because DVDA is putting trailer and menu into two different vobs). Does anybody have a solution to this problem ?

I have been able to get a still menu to look ok but the audio always has
a pause of about two seconds. But is ok during the menu loop.

Is this the jump in a motion menu?

Hallo,

no, this is a jump between trailer and a still menu. The trailer video ends with a screenshot of the still menu.

I have checked both VOBs, (trailer VOB, still menu VOB), loading them into vegas. Interesting fact: I can not produce a seamless transition between these two VOBs in Vegas. If I try, the blue triangle is shown, but if I choose a very high resolution, there is always a short gap between these to sequences and if I play back the transition there is always a short "black out" ("jump") between them.

I've ad the same problem between an into vid and the menu. The into dissolves into a screenshot of the main menu but there is still a jump as the actual main menu switches in.

I'd assumed this was due the DVD player having to switch files but maybe I'm wrong.

Hi,

i succeded in doing somethiong similar! the trailer end with a still that is the background of the menu. No gaps occurr.
Anyway at the beginning I was having the some problem as you. It was somehow related to the music track... (perhaps it was longer than the video and conseuently some black video frames were automatically added (??)
Try to fade out the music before the beginning of the menu and leave the menu menu. In this way it works with me. (I didn't go on trying to put the music on the menu, sorry)
