Secondary Counter?

Hi All,

I would like to know if there is a second counter I can use to reset and set.
Example. I have a very long clip on the track, and I see the usual Counter which displays the current time from the cursor position, which is good and I wish to continue to use, however I would like a second counter so that I can reset to 0 and move the cursor on the track to another point and calculate the time.

I know I can calculate the time by simply subtracting the two points, but it would be soo mush easier if I just had that second counter.

Thanks

This isnt exactly what you're asking for, but you can use the loop region markers for making this calculation pretty easily. The in, out and duration appear just below the timeline window.

Exactly. And, you could drop a marker to indicate the second position. Then, to measure anything, click on the first point, then Shift+click on the marker handle, and it will show you the duration.

New in Vegas 4 is the ability to change any of those indicators with relative amounts. For example, if you're at 1:00 and type Ctrl+G then "+5" you'll end up at 1:05.
