Secondary Display issue

Howdy..

Anyone have this problem? When I use my 2nd monitor as a secondary display to preview footage, my PRIMARY monitor goes black, with the exception of the taskbar. If I click OFF of Vegas, the display comes back, but when I click back in the Vegas widow, the display goes black again.

Again, this is happening to the PRIMARY monitor, not my secondary display. Very odd!

Any thoughts?

You didn't say which graphics card you have. But it might be the drivers. I have an ATI and my display goes black for a few seconds when it switchs resolutions or when I am switching profiles.

Something else it might be is that you have your screens reversed so your Primary moniotor goes to number 2 instead of number 1. I have another computer with an NVidia card in it and for the life of me I could never get monitor one to stay monitor one when I had it set up for 2 monitors.

Upon further investigation, it appears that my Secondary Display is set to display #1, which is why my primary display is going back.

Strangely enough, when I set it to display #2, and close the prefs window, and then re-open it, it has jumped back to display #1.

Doesn't matter if I hit apply or anything like that. As soon as I close the prefs winodw, it jumps back to display #1. I can't get it to 'stick' wiht display #2...

FYI, I'm using a Matrox Parhelia 128 card.

Any thoughts? I can live with this, using my secondary display to show the timeline and my primary to show the preview, but I'd rather have it the other way around...
