Secondary Displays 7e

Using a secondary display monitor has always been affected by screen saver or power saver features. I mean that frequently when the power saver feature makes the monitor go dark when I return to using a Vegas session already running (rendering) the secondary display won't work. The usual fix was to exit the application and start it back up.

Since the release of 7e I've found it to be a bit more problematic. I cannot simply exit the application and restart it. Usually, I have to restart XP.

Anyone else having that issue.

Display adapter is the NVIDIA Quadra FX 3400

I've always found it a good practice to disable screen savers and power saver features on any computer that's going to serve as an NLE. These things chew up clock cycles that can be better used for rendering. Plus, they create ALL KINDS of troubles if they kick in while I'm doing something without a lot of user interaction.

Kill that sucker.

Thanks Brian.

Screen saver is off. It's the power saver feature, which I am also disabling.
