Secret portal to another program

I am in the middle of an edit is V8 and sometimes when I click or in an empty lane it will punch though vegas into wavelab- or what ever might be under it.

For instance I am working on the audio for our television broadcast and I am skipping around the project quickly to make sure that the levels are consistant. I click on empty areas to move the cursur, then hit the space bar to play and stop. Wavelab was under it and the open file in wavelab started to play, but Vegas was mostly in focus. There were a few spots where you could see Wavelab pking through.

Is this a V8 bug? Or a GPU bug? Or just one of those things that only happen at midnight when you have to ship out a tape the next day?

The good news is that nothing crashes. I just click on the taskbar to bring Vegas back to the front again.

Uninstall wavelab. Does it continue to do this?

You may want to tie some moth balls to your screen to kill them little blighters.

Notthe solution, IMO.

I also have a Steinberg app, Cubase SX. Steinberg isn't the boo-boo here.

I see this oddity happen occasionally with other programs, i.e. Firefox or even Windows Explorer -- or whatever window may be open underneath, So it doesn't look like it's any other prog doing this, it's some bug in VP8.

This sometimes happened under my preview in V6 too, but never in tracks.
It hasn't bothered me that much, but it certainly shouldn't be happening.

My solution for the time being until Sony fixes it: minimize other progs.
