Securitymarginal when burning

I shall burn 100 copies of a project.
The DVD image is done in DVDA but I´m going to
use Nero for burning so I can set the booktype to DVD-ROM.

In Nero its 3,15 GB with AC3 sound and 3,66 GB with PCM sound.
When burned to disc the track ends 9 respectively 5 mm
from diskedge.
I´ve heard that its not relyable to burn too close to the edge
(to fill the disk completely) but does that mean that
it is safer to choose 9 mm than 5 mm from edge in my case.
Sound quality is of little importance in this project.
Another thing, in DVDA this project is 4,5 GB with PCM
and 3,8 GB with AC3.
Seems that DVDA is raising the actual size with 30% ?!

I don't like to burn all the way to the edge because that's where most players seem to have playback problems with burned media.

Size difference: PCM takes more space than AC3; the other difference are likely because Nero is showing you Base 2 sizes (1K = 1024) while DVDA is showing you base 10 (1K = 1000).
