Latest news is that both camps are in talks trying to merge the 2 formats so there's only a single new standard.

And guess what Vegas 6 doesn't support either new format and probably won't to version 7 if then. Another reason I'm in no rush to upgrade only to upgrade again a year from now. At some point sensible people get off the merrygoround.

We are abundantly aware that you aren't going to upgrade to v6. You have already said this multiple times in at least half a dozen threads. I'm not exactly sure what it had to do with this particular thread, but you said it anyway. We get it already.

For me, I chose to upgrade, Vegas 6 has some new features that makes my job quicker and easier.
