seeking full version of manual for VMS 4.0

the disk that came with the software claims that you can access the full version of the VMS 4.0 manual on this same disk (under "extra components") but the only manual i found on it was one that resembles the quick start manual (it actually appears to be shorter than the quick start manual). so where is the full mother ship manual?

~well i was just getting ready to e-mail the file i downloaded from the site here to kinkos and decided to take a look at it just to be sure. turns out this is also the quick start manual. so the question stands. where is the full version of the manual for VMS 4.0 available and why does the disk the software came with not contain it as claimed? shouldn't that be a basic component of the package i purchased?

Well, you could try the Vegas 5 manual. Vegas Studio 4 is basically a watered-down version of Vegas 5, so most anything VMS 4 does should be covered in that manual, more or less. It would be useful if you found a button in the software and wanted an explanation of what it does. On the other hand, if you read the manual pages first beware that much of what is discussed won't be in the software.
