Segmented avi files seamless or not?

In the Vegas Capture manual it says that "Capture will segment your files into clips if it's beyond the 4GB if you are using a FAT32 drive" Okay that's fine, but will it be seamless, in other words, if i take clip a and b and put them together it will be perfectly flawless (frames wise and everything)? What will happen to the audio stream?

Same thing. It does both at the same time.

As near as i can tell, they are perfectly seamless. I've generated test files that i've captured and rendered and the frames line up exactly. I've noticed that when i'm capturing the first file often has audio that goes on a few thousandths of a second past the video, but it seems to be empty. If i butt the next clip up to the first clip's video there's no noticeable gap or loss. Subsequent files all line up perfectly.
