select multiple events to open in the sound editor

I have a series of audio clips in the voice track of a project in Vegas Movie Studio. I can select all the clips by right clicking on one and choosing select events to end in the sub menu. When I click on tools and audio "open in sound forge" is greyed out. If I just select one audio clip then I can open it in sound forge (my external editor) Is there another way to open multiple clips at once ? I have also un-grouped the video and voice tracks but that didn't help. It would just be more convenient to have all the clips together on the time line in sound forge rather then working with one clip at a time. Thanks for any assistance. Dave

You have the consumer version (not pro) of Vegas.

Which version of Sound Forge do you have ... consumer or pro? The pro version lists for $300 and the consumer version lists for $55

The consumer version of Sound Forge only works with a single stereo track at a time .. unlike the similarily priced Vegas Movie Studio (where you can have up to 4 stereo tracks at one time)

This may, or may not, cause VMS to grey out that option ... but even it it wasn't greyed out .. you would not be able to open those tracks in the consumer version of Sound Forge.

brighterside,
Thanks for responding. Yes I am using the consumer (vegas music studio platinum 8.0d and sound forge audio studio 9.0d) versions. Oh well one clip at a time works just seems to take a while :) Regards, Dave
