Selecting image for thumbnail

Hi,
I created a menu with scene selection and the thumbnails show where the markers were placed. I want the thumbnails to display a position 30 seconds afterwards. Is it possible to do it without placing or rearranging the original marker?

In one of the programmes I used in the past, it was just a question of playing the clip and mark the position as thumbnail.

Click to select the button and go to the Button Properties/Media page. You'll find the option to set the thumbnail to display any frame in your video.

I cover this pretty extensively in my book, Vee! Might be worth checking it out if you want to learn more about these kinds of tricks! ;)

Place the scrubber on the frame you want to use as a thumbnail. Select the button in the column on and left and Right Click>set as thumbnail.

Just to add a small point. When you want to choose a particular frame you can scrub through the video using the slider under the box that shows the frame number: holding Ctrl as you do so allows a slow movement which makes it easy to find the right frame for your thumbnail.

One further point that might be of interest. If you find the thumbnail in the menu has black bars, right click the image and choose the Pan/Crop item from the menu list that then comes up (and this selection can be used to brighten etc the chosen image as well by clicking on one of the various boxes at the top of the window).
