Selling Second Hand Software Illegal?

Hi,

Within the past few months I've spent £ on Pinnacle 11 which I didn't like at all. I then switched to VMS which I much prefer. However, the B&H prIce for full Vegas (albeit without DVDA) is around the same as my VMS cost me so I'm considering the upgrade.

My question is: do I have to keep the Pinnacle 11 and VMS or am I allowed to sell them on and recoup my costs?

E Bay doesn't seem to allow sales of this nature so I'm guessing they're illegal?

Thanks

Jonathan.

If you find a buyer, you can sell it, but you must contact Sony because for now, the serial number of your product is linked to your identity, and this must be undone.

Thanks Ivan.

So as long as you advise the manufacturer that you're selling it on it's above board?

I may well move up to Pro then and sell my VMS Platinum and Painnacle software.

You must contact Sony's helpdesk and follow their instructions. They will reset your serial number, so you will lose your account. Then you can sell, and the new owner can re-register.
I don't know about Pinnacle's procedure.
