There are so many forum users now I thought I would point out the following for those interested: There was a great batch conversion program that used to come on Vegas 3 and Sound Forge 6 CDs called, uh, Batch Converter. With it, you could not only batch-convert audio files, but strip out the audio from a video file and save it as a separate wav file. I once used it to convert the sound tracks from seven hours of DV--in about 90 seconds.
It's no longer sold, which at first meant forget about ever being able to reinstall your copy of BC if you had to redo the hard drive, etc. However, I recently discovered (don't know how long it's been a fact, hence this post) that the Madison gang has once again listened to the laments of users, and put an extra link on the appropriate site for prior owners of Vegas 3 or Sound Forge 6, in which you can download a full copy of Batch Converter and then type in your VV3 or SF6 serial number to unlock BC (after registering it). Just type in "Batch Converter" in the search window, above.
