I just ordered the SONY DRX500ULX DVD burner and would appreciate advice on the following two matters:

1) Brand(s) of media to purchase to allow widest range of compatibility. (I read that this burner can be finnicky about brands and that DVD-R would be best at this point.)

2) DVD burning software. I have Ahead Nero and ImpressionSE.
