There is no "send to DVD Architect" button in Vegas Pro. You must render to MPEG-2 and AC3 files separately and then import into DVD Architect.

You could use the free VASST DVD Prep script to automate the rendering.

hmmmm... I used the VASST script and it rendered separate video and audio files. I can drag the video onto the DVDArchitect timeline, but I can't drag the audio over. I'm sure I'm doing something stupid....

If the audio file has the same name as the video (with a different extension e.g. .wav) then DVDA will automatically associate it with the vision. If not then you can tell DVDA which audio file to use regardless.

the audio file was rendered as AC3 audio.

when you use the ac3 for the first time it should ask you to register. Did it do that?

no. The only thing I can open with both audio and video is .dar files previously rendered in MSP9.

"the audio file was rendered as AC3 audio."

When the AC3 file was rendered out do you know which encoder was used? There are 2 encoders that come with Vegas pro... the studio encoder and the certified pro encoder. The studio encoder is not an official dolby encoder and will cause problems (including unnecessary recompressing of the audio). ALWAYS use the pro encoder.... it is designed to work specifically with DVDa and the audio does not get recompressed by DVDa

"the audio file was rendered as AC3 audio. "

OK then, so DVDA should assign that file as the audio for the mpg file that you've added to the project.

If it doesn't, select the media and then select the correct audio file as appropriate.

Perhaps if you explained precisely what you are trying to achieve and how you are trying to go about it we could give some more targetted advice.
