serial number for 4.5 doesn't work for 5.0

When I installed 4.5 it wouldn't open, so I upgraded to 5.0 and now it is asking for a serial number that doesn't match. The serial number i have with my purchase begins 1D2-...., and the one they are asking for begins with 1CR-... What can I do to register my product?

Do you have the Studio or the Pro version of DVDA? The Studio version can't be upgraded beyond 4.5d.
