Being an organized genius . deleted my email with vegas and dvda s/n. Had vegas installed and been using previous version of dvda, decided to load new dvda and no s/n. Went through a couple a steps on this website and got a live customer service rep and typed in my request and had my number in a minute,,, cool .. may have always had this type of support but first time i ve seen it.
No they dont have 24 hr support , but this was a nice unexpected surprize

You can also get your serial numbers by clicking on "My Account" above and selecting "My Software."

if you buy it with a digital download from sony it's in there within a day, register or not.

"if you buy it with a digital download from sony it's in there within a day, register or not."

This was not my experience.
I downloaded V8/DVDA4.5 on a Sunday. I never received my email containing the serials - could not use the product until I contacted Sony during business hours. They say the serial was emailed - for some reason I never received it.

They supplied me with one, and because I didn't have connectivity on my vegas machine for a week, was unable to register my product.

Checking on the net from the office where I work, there was no mention of V8 or DVDA4.5 under my software on the Sony site until I managed to register the product a week later.

Unless Sony has fixed this issue, I believe you will find that the product/serial number does not show up until you actually register the product.

I know that I could use the register from another computer feature - for reasons too long to go into in this thread, that feature was not practical for me this time around.

Same here. I've had some download purchases that waited a week or more to get installed and registered. The serial number didn't show up under My Software until then.
