Serial Number (S/N) for Capture 6.0

I just started using VMS6. It has been registered. Unfortunately when I tried to capture video from my Sony camcorder it asked me to enter the S/N for Sony Video Capture 6. I re-entered my VMS6 S/N starting with JD but it told me that Video Capture S/N starts with JC. Anyone knows what's going on here? Do I need to buy another Sony program to use the Video capture feature in VMS6?

Sounds like you need to reinstall. I think there is another thread on that subject, you may search for it.

Did you download and use the "Vegas 6" demo before you bought and installed VMS? I ran into this problem and could only fix it by a complete uninstall, clean the registry and reinstall. The helpful 800 # helped me out...

Thanks to you all for your help. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and that took care of the problem.
