Serious RAM error in new version 22 bug 239

DANI-FELLA wrote on 4/9/2025, 10:00 AM

My computer crashed due to a completely negative RAM usage of 100% in Vegas, causing a complete shutdown and system freeze, for a project that consisted of just two clips and only a color correction. When will they be able to provide a stable program? How can a high-cost program have so many bugs? God...

Vegas Pro 22 is quite stable for me, along with many other users. A lot of the time the issue is stemming from user to user and their varied system specs and configurations..... In your issue i suspect the problem lies with those media files you have on the timeline.... What are their specifications?

Also make sure you do not have multiple instance of Vegas opened and working all at the same time also. Not sure if im reading what you uploaded correctly, but it seems you have 3 instances of Vegas running.

@Steve_Rhoden Hi, no that's not right, here's what Taskmanager normally shows for me. It can vary but it's always more than 3, sometimes reaching into the 7s & 8s.

@DANI-FELLA However much I agree with Steve in that it varies between users, their media, what fxs are added & their system specs there have been many posts reg expensive usage of RAM by Vegas, one recent post was about adding LUTs. & for me the use of some fxs like Boris Particle illusion or Beat reactor can hike up the RAM.
