MMmmm. don't know. Maybe you have to record your settings and use it on the output (ie monitor window) so you don't have to put those on every event...

Hi Jack,

You might try saving a blank project with your filters as "basic.veg" (or whatever), and always open that and save as your new project.

Martyh - That is soooo obvious! Why didn't I think of it . . . I've always thought I thought "out-side-the-box" . . . but to do what you suggest is just the ticket for my simple, but needed repeated "formats". It's a bit like a format for MS WORD. THIS will make me more productive.

I can't take total credit...

Some of the regulars here have complete shows that they just swap out the media...

I had the same answer when I saw the question, and then I remembered that I had first learned that from one of Marty's posts, and then I said, "I betcha Marty's already provided the solution!" :>)

One caution, though. When going from VV 3.0b to 3.0c, I found a few of the things I had stored in my template "Basic" .veg didn't work properly. So, I recreated the .veg in 3.0c and it worked fine.

I have not yet had the problem going from 3.0c to Vegas 4.0, but watch for it. It will be interesting to see if there are any "Legacy" problems coming into 4.0 from 3.0c .veg files.
