Setting text colors

MovieExpert wrote on 2/12/2008, 1:24 AM
I am trying to set the text colors for the text that I inserted into the main menu. In the properties box there are 4 color schemes that can be used. Pobably I am doing something wrong and I never get the color set applied to the selected text. Could somebody give a short description of the procedure please. Many thanks.

The color sets are used for subpictures (specifically, highlighting and subtitles). They're not used for menu text.

To change the color of text on a menu, select the text and then use the color picker that appears on the formatting menu below your menu. The color picker is on the right -- click the box to select from a set of swatches or click the arrow next to the box for a set of RGB sliders. If you don't see the color picker box, you need to increase the size of your menu workspace (click and drag the left or right border).

That said, I don't know why the color set options are still visible when you select a block of menu text. The two are not related at all.

Thanks a lot Rob. A part of the text formatting bar under the preview window was hidden under the properties window. That is why I could not see it. After squezing the properties to the right and project overview to the left I saw the item you mentioned. The rest was a piece of cake. Many thanks.
