Just bought an ADS external drive enclosure and Maxtor 120 gig drive. The hard drive was installed with the jumpers set to master from what I could tell- the drawings that depict the setups are confusing to me. When plugged into an XP machine the PC tells you it has found new hardware, then you click on My computer then "manage" and then "logical drives". Funny thing is the drive is there but it just shows up as part of the C drive, then you click on the giant gob of disc space and can then assign a drive name and format the drive.
Many of you may have done this a dozen times but it was new to me so I thought it might help someone.
This setup is working fine so far for capture.
