I have a 20 minute 3 camera edit from which I'd like to generate a widescreen SD DVD and also print back to tape a high definiion version to my Sony FX-1. I've read John Meyer's HD workflow

.....but, as this is my first crack at HD, I'm still not sure of a few of things:
1. John says to have project properties set to HDV 1080i (1440x1080), but my computer is pretty slow. What are the disadvantages of having properties set to NTSC widescreen?
2. In Gear Shift, I understand the "Proxy Media" portion, but I'm unclear about the various "HD Media" options. If I want to print back to the Sony FX-1, which one would I choose? When would some choose the "None" option?
3. After I've finished editing the SD proxies and I'm ready to print to the FX-1, do I change the project properties or do I just Shift Gears?
Thanks in advance,
Aldo.
