What a disappointment, all this waiting for a new sound
forge and this is the best you could come up with? The
only thing you've done is give it a facelift and finally
got 24bit 96Khz support...infact you bi-passed that
standard, with 32bit 192Khz support, probably so you don't
have to upgrade for another 3 years!!!
My biggest disappointments:
1. CD Architect is no longer recognized in menu items.
2. No Non-destructive editing of Wave files or volume
envelopes....if you aren't gonna include this, then at
least allow CD architect to come up as a menu item, now I
have to have 2 installations of sound forge to do mastering
work if I want 24bit capability.
3. No drag and drop of CD Tracks to convert to wave file,
the old anchient CD architect method. What's the matter, no
one can write any new code, just stole that one from CD
architect?
My opinion, this is a downgrade, 4.5 is much better than
5.0. Looks like I will be learning Wavelab as much as I
hate to say that. Too many short comings and work arounds
to even consider this a professional upgrade.
