SF and MC in Forum

Just a note to the support guys from SF and Main Concept who hang in this forum. I have been watching you guys work and I have to praise you for it. I have watched folks get balistic or flaming without cause or because of their own ignorance. Each reply to them has been professional and showed a real desire to solve their problem, even when they just want to flame or pout. You have suggested ways to diagnose the problem and offered to view it for yourselves to try to locate the problem. Sometimes it takes several posts to the same user for you to get it worked out for them or until they find their oops.

It is hard to moderate a forum or a newsgroup. It takes professionalism. You are doing great. Thanks

I have used email support twice now and the help has been equally as good. In one case a quick workaround was sent to me with files to assist and then even after the incident was closed, I got another email from a different tech with a permanent fix two days later.

I am pleased with my investment and the help you offer loyal users.

Keith

I'll pipe in on this one too. When I had some severe problems with stability that turned out to be motherboard based, SF support stayed with me for months especially J.D. (I'll use his initials) who e-mailed dozens of suggestions. Finally he got me to a patch that solved the problem. He even suggested some new hardware when I was upgrading and now my system is incredible. Never crashes even in very deep projects.
Keep up the good work over there, its appreciated out here.

what sort of hardware are you talking about? I'm actually looking into a new computer to run Vegas Video, Acid, Sonar, Virtual Sampler, and some soft synths...I want to get a system that can handle some intense projects...I've already got a Sony DVMC-DA2, a Maxtor firewire card, and a Maxtor 3000DV 60GB external firewire drive...my current computer (an eMachines 500 mHz celeron w/192MB RAM) can't handle the crazy projects I'm trying to complete...it gets VERY frustrating when you have to deal with crashes and troubleshooting system problems when all you want to do is let your creative juices flow...I NEED A ROCK SOLID SYSTEM!!!...any suggestions?
