<<"My intent is not to be cagey; the reality is we're dealing with a wide spectrum of opportunities that have been presented to us," he said. "We intend to do what's best for the company and employees.">>
Simply out of frustration for a company who CAN be (now most likely "COULD HAVE BEEN") a contender:
Jumping at the WIDE SPECTRUM is a large part of why SF is into this fray. Separating applications was another key to SF disappointments.
Why not take a logical approach and listen to CUSTOMER BASE hopes and desires?
How about doing WHAT'S RIGHT FOR THE CUSTOMER BASE for once? I think this will satisfy your intent of DOING WHAT'S RIGHT FOR THE COMPANY AND EMPLOYEES in the end as a result of taking this chance.
JoeD, this is the first time I will have to agree with you.
I've been telling you guys about this stuff for awhile now. The deadline for the nasdaq is January.....and everyone's been asking "When's Vegas 4 gonna be released?"...Yeah....let's not hold our breath. I sent Dave Hill an Email over a month ago, asking him..."what's the feeling over there in Software land...are the execs scrambling to get something happening to bring that stock price up of the Nasdaq?" "Has the hammer started to swing yet?". Dave's reply was "Nasdaq...never heard of it." Looks like that article that JoeD posted along with what Rimas stated would say otherwise.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen Dave post in this forum for awhile now???? Dave!? Dave!? You still there? Don't forget about that other thing we talked about......or you gonna be the head programer on the "live media site" stuff now and that's why we haven't seen you or any updates from Vegas lately?
Maybe I'll have to talk to some of the VP's over here at Harman. That's something Harman is good at, taking a struggling but high potential audio company and making them successful through marketing and a strong production background. Lol!!! Pipeline, would then be sreaming at me for ASIO...LOL!!! the irony!!!!
Semi/pro audio is a very small market, and unfortunately it lives right next-door to that huge “multimedia fun for the whole family” giant. Our little babies could very easily be swallowed up and turned into very different beasts indeed...
We might get a benevolent new King who shares our values and our beliefs, and takes us off into a brave new world where everyone lives happily ever after. Or we very possibly could get a King who thinks that if they strip out the “boring and complicated” bits they could sell bucket loads of these gizmos to the mums and dads.
...Or perhaps we are all off in some other different direction. Who knows, it’s a big bad world out there and suddenly we all seem to be at the mercy of the winds.
...I feel a great disturbance in the Force...clouded, this boy's future is...
How cheezy can you get? Ok, who here can't picture the meetings there (especially upper mangmt and marketing)? Oh how sad.
Kids in the Hall do hilarious and somewhat accurate skits on mgnmt like this.
ScreenBlast..LOL!!
It wreaks of 80's/90's corp mentality. Just complete self gratifying morons who are basically now just fodder for new material (they're ususally devote christians...borderline insane from following a now predictable corp rule and the now defunct perfect white-collar way).
Hey, say what you want about Microsoft...but at least they're open to change now and then.
Take their games division for example. They could have ducked on the XBOX based on it's troubled opening, but I now hear they're investing in it even more. And watch what that will do to those devote PS2/3 users.
This is predictable. But they'll never see it that way...watch.
