.sfk files are basically thumbnails showing the waveform in the timeline for audio clips. VideoFactory (and most other SonicFoundry software) creates these automatically when an audio file is used. They may be deleted without causing any problems, but VideoFactory will create them again if the audio file is opened again.

Ok, but why is the file created if Video Factory will recreate them?
