Shadows and Highlights is not a native Vegas Pro VFX as far as I am aware. It's not a VFX I can recall seeing before in VP 10-17. Might it be a 3rd party VFX plug-in that may or may not work in VP17?

If it is VP17, some VFX like FXHome's Ignite Pro don't function in VP17 without an update because some of the plug-in coding in VP17 has changed from VP16 and earlier.

Thanks for that response. I checked my previous VP 15 and it is part of the 'Hitfilm' plugin. I am guessing that I cannot have 'hitfilm' in VP17 without purchasing it separately.

Edit: I found it on my download file. Is it only for VP 15, because it does not give me the option to 'load' it. Only 'change' or 'repair' it.
