Sharpening a video

Hi,
Is it possible to sharpen just a part of a video? I have a section in the middle of a video which could do with a bit of sharpening but don't want to affect the rest.
Any help much appreciated.

I have Vegas movie studio HD Platinum 11

Sorry, I didn't explain that too well. I don't want to sharpen a part of the actual image, I want to sharpen a time length of video i.e. a 15 second section in the middle of the video.

Can't you just split your video before and after the 15 second part and sharpen that part only?

+1 for splitting. Use cross fade to transition in/out of the affected event.
