Satish,

Thanks so much for your efforts. I just completed a project for my son's second birthday, and PluginPac 3D LE really made is so much better. Your work is appreciated, and this particular piece of work will be cherished as long as I live, so you will also be long remembered. :)

As a freeware add-in developer for Microsoft products, I know the time and effort that is put into work like this. Keep it up. Many of us who don't speak up to express our thanks feel gratitude nonetheless.

I'd like to place on record my thanks for your speedy (& generous) work Satish.

Can't wait to try out this & any future developments you post.

Once again

Many thanks

At this rate Satish will have me out of After Effects in no time at all--Satish, you really must let us show our thanks in some material way----I know you enjoy your work but your efforts deserve some kind of reward--Amazing!

Yeah, make up a package of plugins! Take a poll on the "most requested", and either yourself or with the help of SF, sell 'em. FREE is good for now! Yeah baby....Vey randy.
Maybe just after the release of VV4...?

Aren't we waiting on some word about VDub plugins for VV from Shredder? I wonder what happened with that.

Thanks!

Satish-- my apologies, as I haven't downloaded any of the plug-ins, but they seem to be highly regarded. Anyone who puts in the time to work these things up & then gives them away... simply amazing. You're a god among men.

But... my question is, will these plug ins work with VV2? Some of us are still poor college students who WERE going to upgrade for Christmas, but are leery to as VV4 is rumored for early 2003...

Thanks again!
David.

I have tested the plugins only with VV3c. Not sure how the plugins work with earlier versions of VV, probably a SoFo tech can clarify for us.
TorS wrote on 11/24/2002, 3:44 PM
David,
Why don't you contact Sonic Foundry and ask them for an upgrade program that accomodates people who upgrade to VV3 now with a free or very cheap upgrade to VV4 once it's available?
SF have a tradition of being nice to existing customers.

To be honest with you-- I hadn't really thought of that. I'll give them a call Monday morning & see if they can help me out at all. If I can avoid the full cost of upgrading twice (assumably $150 now, and between $100 and $150 in a couple of months), then I'd be a happy camper, I must admit!

Thanks for the advice. Cross your fingers for me...

David.

Satish,

Let me add my thanks also to the already extensive list. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

David,

If you are a student, I believe SoFo gives a substantial break to types like yourself and teachers alike. I'm not sure of the site that provides this. But I think you can pick up VV3 for somewhere in the range of 150 to 175 dollars.

--That's true. Vegas will run about $160 for a student version.
HOWEVER, most 'student' versions of software have one major drawback-- they are specifically barred from any sort of commercial work. I like to stay legitimate; I'll occasionally shoot a wedding, for example. Who knows what will pop up in the future? I'd hate to be on the wrong end of it, you know?
Besides, the upgrade to Vegas 3 is $150-- roughly the same as an educational version. The only problem that I have is that, again, Vegas 4 can't be THAT far off, and I'd really hate to pay twice, you know? The absolute, absolute worst case scenerio is that SoFo won't be able to help me out price-wise. That's OK. I'll just wait for Vegas 4 and upgrade then! I can certainly live with that...

Satish,

First came WinMorph..you were my hero...
Then came plugin pac 3D LE...you are a Star...
and now (soon) Shatter....you should at least be "Man of the Year..."!!! Anyone work for Time magazine or the likes??? Get Satish onto the front cover! Its the least he deserves....
Thank you, thank you thank you!!!

PS. everybody seems really keen on 24 fps and film emulating...can that become a pluggin? How about photoshop type filters? My apologies, but you seem so enthusiastic and prolific I couldn't help a suggestion or two!
