For those that didn't hear about the Sony Music video shot on board a United flight with Sheryl Crow, you can see a great story about it at http://www.webflyer.com/liveflyer/
Featuring Tim Duncan, the DMN Vegas host and Vegas, this music video was shot AND edited onboard. Tim says he did color correction in the taxicab on the way to the premiere of the video. Great pic of Tim here:

Vegas was the tool used, Sony XD Cams were the cameras, and Sheryl Crow was the talent.
Way to go, Tim! Way to go, VEGAS!

We just did tonight at the special SCVUG meeting in Irvine where Tim was the presenter.

Tim showed us the actual Veg and the finished project. He demonstrated how he captured the video from 5 cameras and before the plane landed had the finished video which was shown to Sheryl and then delivered for immediate broadcast via Satellite.

Tim showed how he used V5 and Excalibur to pull all the editing together in just 17 minutes (after he spent 45 minutes capturing the tapes to his laptop).

Very cool thing to do.

If I can quote what he said....

"I don't think ANY other NLE could have done this"

What a dude!

Pity the Vgeas name wasn't behind the podium as well as HI MD. Still, cannot have everything.
