Shimmy Problems in 4B

I am having a problem w/ NTSC DV (.avi) clips captured in Vegas 4b. I condensed the clips and mixed the videos a bunch of times. I am getting a shimmy like there are dropped frames when I preview to a screen. It is fine when played in Windows or in 4b. I am trying to render back to NTSC DV .avi. Can anyone help w/ this?

prerender and then preview over external monitor via 1394- have you tried that?

Yes I tried that. I selectively prerendered the whole project and then previewed to and external monitor and I am still having the problem.
