Short music on CD for Videos

I'm still in the newbie mode with NLE. I'm getting my arms around Vegas video, but I would like to add music to my projects. Are there CDs available that contain small musical passages or loops on that I can include in my videos without breaking copyright laws? I've found the PowerFX Loops on the SoFo web site, but I'm not sure if these are loops are what I'm looking for. I want actual music, not just effects, and something longer than 1-2 seconds.

Thanks for your patience.

www.smartsound.com is a good source. Royalty free if you do the Sonic Fire Pro 3.0.

It's expensive, but very, very nice.

Try Acid music - amazing range of well recorded loops, from street music to acoustic guitars to classical orchestras.

... if you want to try Acid XPress and see what can be done by yourself with Acid. It's FREE ! ;)

Try www.freeplaymusic.com.

Be sure and read the disclaimers.

Along these same lines... I'm wanting to create small quanitities (1-30) DVD's containing personal pictures that private parties supply to me. (They give me the pictures and tell me how many DVD's they want, I create the slideshow and charge them.) I would also like to be able to include their favorite songs as background music. I've looked into the Mechanical Royalties but the minimum is 500 copies. I will probably never make 500 of any single song. So how do I go about this legally???

Thanks in advance for your help.
