I want all my sound events to remain visible all the way to the to end ala video events. How do I do that?

Not clear to me what you are asking. Can you take a screen shot of the timeline?

All that Vegas 19 does now is to highlight just the current event or show all of them when pressing CTRL A and they turn off as soon as I release the keys. I can open all the events if I keep these unlocked by separately holding down ctrl and clicking on them. But then again this won't stick. Once I close the project and reopen it I have to go through the same process. I just have to wonder if the video track works as expected, why can' t the audio track do the same?

Mine shows the waveform on all audio events. Is that what you mean?

I think it is the color scheme that is troubling you. The waveforms are being shown, they just almost match the background. Make sure you don't have them muted.

If an event is locked the event's appearance will change, similar to being muted.

Thanks people. I get it now. Lots to play with. Is there a default setting somewhere to start out with? I might have made a mess of all the possibilities and would like to start from default -- or just keep it.

EDIT: Never mind, I got it to look the way I need it now. Thanks again.
