showing timecode on exported tape - Vegas 4

I want to export some edited film to DV, but with the timecode showing. The timecode can be the original, or even just the time in mins & secs from the exported film.

Can this be done?

Make a new track (on top of everything else).
Click in the track effects and apply the timecode effect.
Voila - timecode corresponding to the edit master.
You can move this code around the screen and change it's size as well.

Here's how I'd do it:

For project timecode, add the timecode filter to the video preview window (as a Video Output effect).

If you want to display the source media's timecode, apply the timecode filter at the media pool level to all media used in the timeline. (If you have all DV clips there's a script that does this in one operation).

You can show both project and event/source tc if you reposition the window of the video output instance of the tc filter.
