I just bought one a few days ago. I had to download the pre-set configuration for VV3 but that only took 5 seconds. I have since customized the pre-set configuration to reflect the way I work with VV3. I think it's the best tool I have purchased for my computer (apart from my 22" Diamond Pro 2060U). I use the shuttlepro in my left hand and the mouse in the right hand. I can now sit closer to my desk top which for me is more confortable. Now the only time I have to access the keyboard is to type in text! Prior to buying this I always had the keyboard tray pulled out a little so I could move frame by frame with the arrow keys...very uncomortable for me.

The Shuttlepro isn't intended to replace your mouse but it is meant to reduce your use of the keyboard.

I have one but I really think I'd prefer assignable keys in VV3 more. And don't forget since it's USB you can't assign any key as the Control key (to select multiple clips).

Still, many swear by theirs and there are times when I'm doing something repetitive that it's nice to be able to program keys right under my fingers. Really bad interface for this though - instead of a simple .ini file you *must* use their less-than-intuitive command editor.

I got this right away. For me, it definitely was worth it. I didn't have VV long enough before to get used to mouse & keyboard commands, so when I got the shuttlepro, it was very easy to use. I like the default settings they have for VV, of course you can create your own (download from contour was very easy & short). I don't think I can go without the shuttlepro now. If $99 isn't too much for your budget, definitely buy it. If $99 is a lot of money for you, then don't buy it. Your productivity isn't going change much.

If only for the jog wheel, it would be worth it.
It is easy to program so I now have it rocking, do all my common keyboard stokes.
Luv it!

PS I have been using it for around 6 months.
