Hmmmm? Worked fine for me. Clicked on the Shuttle Pro icon > open control panel > options > Import Settings > Navigated to the Vegas Pro 8 folder and selected Sony Vegas Pro -- ShuttlePro v2.pref > selected open and the prefs were loaded.

Hmmm. I just tried to import Sony's ShuttlePRO (not V2) settings for Vegas Pro 8, but they would not import. No error message from Contour ShuttlePRO control panel, but the Vegas Pro 8 settings do not show up in the list of ShuttlePRO settings, and do not load when Vegas8 is running. However, when I tried to import them a second time, the ShuttlePRO interface said "Settings already exists. Do you want to overwrite them?" Very strange. It seems there is something wrong with the ShuttlePRO version of the settings.

I will try copying the Vegas 7 settings, and saving them as new settings for Vegas Pro 8,

So I selected Vegas 7 and changed the target to Vegas 80exe and it worked ok. This is with the latest shuttle pro driver.
Well that's exactly what I did right away, thinking that it is the proper and only logical way. How could Shuttle Pro be updated to Vegas 8 so quickly and why should Shuttle Pro know to look into Vegas 8?

Paul, Sony provides ShuttlePRO & ShuttlePRO V2 settings files (.pref) with Vegas Pro 8. They are in the Vegas folder -- C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 8.0\. You should be able to import them into the Contour ShuttlePRO control panel, by selecting Options, Import Settings and browsing to the above folder. I assume they are identical to the Vegas7 settings, but I haven't tried all the buttons yet.

The problem for me is that Sony's .pref file for the Contour ShuttlePRO "Sony Vegas Pro 8 -- ShuttlePRO.pref" doesn't work. In fact, it trashes the latest ContourPRO v2.7.2 driver. On my machine, the Shuttle icon stopped indicating what program had the focus. Even after a reboot.

I had to uninstall the ShuttlePRO driver, and I reinstalled the previous version v2.6.13, and created a new Vegas Pro 8 setting from the Vegas 7 settings, just as you describe. Now it works fine.

Apparently the ShuttlePRO V2 settings file doesn't have this problem...but I only have the ShuttlePRO, and not the V2. Or maybe it is a problem/conflict with the v2.7.2 driver. ???

Anyone else having problems with their ShuttlePRO in VP8?

I am having the same problem you describe. I copied the contents from the Vegas 7 settings, pointed it vegas80.exe and saved it as Sony Vegas Pro 8 and now it all works fine. No idea what is the problem with the supplied settings.

Had no such problem importing the DVDA 4.5 settings.
