Side-chaining in Vegas

I know some of you have been asking about how to do side-chaining in Vegas with a compressor/expander plugin. I found a plugin that offers this option and works in Vegas. Goto WWW.DB-AUDIO.COM, and download the 21 day demo. Their DB-D Compressor/Expander plugin has a sidechain option and costs $39. Or you can get a set of 4 plugins for $99, which includes a De-esser, Muliti-band Compressor, Mastering Limiter, and the Compressor/Expander. For those of you unfamiliar with using a side-chain, they give a nice step by step option in their online help, on popular uses of a side-chain and how to set it up using your multitrack application.

I can't comment on how well it sounds, I didn't spend a lot of time tweaking it, but wanted to verify that it indeed works in Vegas and has a pretty simple user interface.

Enjoy,

thats the one that I would LIKE to have work...but try it close, it happens at the wrong time. Perfect for ducking music while someone is talking in a video ( I used it in " the carnie and trailer trash show" )

BUT happens at totally the wrong place for trying to chain a kick to a bass
