Have you tried to add a velocity envelope and change the speed to 200%?

Ctrl+drag an edge, to stretch the event shorter. Bring up the properties dialog (rt-click) on it, set Time stretch / pitch shift method to "change length and pitch".

Velocity envelopes work well for lots of special effects. However, they do have one problem ... they only affect the video track. If all you want to do is uniformly speed up the entire clip, and increase the speed of the audio to match, then "squishing" the clip is far easier. Place the mouse pointer on the right edge of the clip and it will turn into a little box with a double-headed arrow. Hold down the Ctrl key and drag the end of the clip to the left. The farther you drag it, the faster it will play. You can also drag to the right to slow it down.

Good note SonicDennis on the pitch shift,

I nearly fell out of my chair LOL playing with "silly" speed ups AND slow downs on the video with pitch shifting on the audio! I couldn't believe how GOOD the audio still sounded overall.........
