Simple Merging Question

I am using the trial version of Vegas Movie Studio 6. I have imported a DVD file (.VOB). My question is: After a section of the file has been cut, how do you re-merge the remaining movie so that the cut section is completely gone and the movie file plays as if the cut section is completely removed?

If I'm understanding your question right, then this is basic "ripple edit" functionality. Set ripple edit on by pushing the button, it's on one of the toolbars (or press "Ctrl+L"). (I would also suggest you press the little down arrow on the right side of the button, and select "all tracks, markers and regions", so that everything ripples over.) With ripple edit on, you can cut a section like you did, and everything to the right will move over automatically. Also when you drag an event, it will move everything to the right along with it. As you get experienced you'll learn when you want ripple edit on, and when you want it off.

I would suggest you delve into the manual and online help. They provide info on basic functionality like "ripple edit".
