When I put an AVI file in the Vegas time-line and drag the slider to any point in the clip, the preview window doesn't show a single frame but rather two adjacent frames combined looking like a double exposure.
If I copy or save the frame it looks the same, two frames combined.
However if I open the same AVI file in another program, like Windows media player, and hit PAUSE, it displays a single crisp frame so the problem is not with the file but the way Vegas is reading and displaying the frames.
WHY does Vegas combine adjacent frames when paused and how can I get it to display a single frame??
