Site for sharing actual VMS projects?

Occassionally I find an example of a cool VMS effect on the internet (like Star Wars titling, for example), that rather than it being a powerpoint or video tutorial explaining to me how to produce the effect, is instead a zip file containing the actual VMS project and example media, which is setup to produce the effect. I find this ***extremely*** useful, for I can simply d/l the project, swap in my own video/pictures/text, and voila! I have the effect! No translation time required.

I'm curious why there isn't a site or "user forum" for sharing actual VMS projects in this manner? If it doesn't exist, maybe a consortium is on the horizon to create one?

I agree Mick. I think it would be great to have a site where people could share their work, and information. I get inspired, and motivated when I see other people's work, as well as learn new things. Like they say, 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' Hope someone here knows of a site such as that, or could create one. Lets hope. Cin

There's a few tutorials on YouTube. Most are done by just regular folks like us, but every once in a while you pick up some pointers. Do a search for Sony Vegas Tutorial.

Vasst makes some vegs available here: http://www.vasst.com/?v=training/Wallpapernew.htm. The problem really is that often 'vegs' are interchanged, and not 'vfs'. Vegs are Vegas Pro project files, and you cannot open them with VMS.
It is a shame, really, 'cause my guess is that most Vegas Pro users are using illegal downloads of Vegas Pro, and they get the goodies, while paying VMS users are left out in the cold...

Ivan, i wouldn't be so quick to assume that. Every Vegas Pro user i know has a legit license.

Every Vegas Pro user I know also has a legit license. And, I hope that is true. Better for all of us in the long run. :o)

That's the idea of what I was looking for. I'll explore it. I'm considering adding some vf projects to it - like a transition menu I just created that mimick's the STAR WARS DVD intro's.

Thanks Chien!
