sizing a 720 file in a 1080 environement....

Anyway to keep a 720 from resizing when you place it in a 1080 environment in SMS? I know you can resize it (anyone know what the proper percentage is?) manually, but any switch to do it automatically (black frame is fine). I want to keep the image at its native resolution.

Thanks.

You can do it in the Event properties or Pan/Crop context menus.

Anyway not to have to resize the image manually in the crop function?

Thank you for your answer.

Guess I need to understand your need exactly.

Do you want to maintain the image aspect, and also maintain its native dimensions without filling one frame dimension?
Then type the project dimensions into the Pan/Crop Width and Height boxes.
This is the result:

You can do this automatically with a script in Vegas Pro, but only manually in Movie Studio.
You can, however, copy the first event and Paste Event Attributes to any selected events, which is "almost" automatic.

Thanks, yes that's what I wanted to do.

I found that in SMS12 64 bit I have to use with track motion if I put the 720 on a different video track and click "no" to resize it works fine.
