Skipped field effect?

Hi everyone,

I used this 'skipped field' effect on a linear editing system. It gives a cool slowdown effect.. But does anyone know how to create this effect in VV3?

Hi,

I'm not shure what you mean by "cool slowdown effect", but I think that you want to display less than 30 frames/sec without changing the speed. If so, rightclick the clip, go to properties and lower the value of undersample rate, 1.00 being 30 fps.
If you are looking for a slowmotion of your clip, there are more than one way to do this. Instead of changing the value of undersample rate, change the value of playback rate, 1.00 being normal speed.

but.. I guess I'm looking for a way to use only one field per frame. I'm gonna try the progressive scan again, but I don't think that's really the same thing, or is it?

...and don't forget to right-click your clip, select "switches" then "resample" to have a smoother effect...
