skipping vocal playback

I can record just fine, but on my playback it skips every 20 seconds. When recording at about 20sec. the vocal being recorded stops and the meter line keeps going. So when you record you don't notice, but at the point during the playback the vocals suddenly are now behind the audio track by about a sec.

what operating system are you using?
sounds like 2000.try 98se or win me.

Hi, thought I'd pick a brain and see if we can find a fix. Where are you at now ? Does the audio track stop recording after the skip or is it recorded fine(you don't hear the skip when you record)yet the final recorded track isn't alighned?
