Hi. I'm not very familiar with video editing, so this may be a pretty basic question. I'm helping out a friend who has a web site on which she does twice weekly web cam broadcasts, each about an hour long. She needs the full lenth wmv file of each broadcast cut into smaller, more easily downloadable files for her site members. As the footage is from a web cam, it's not great quality to start with. But I'd like to have as little degradation in resolution as I can. So far, my results have been less than great, and I'm wondering if anyone might have an idea what the settings for rendering should be in this situation. Here are the stats for the original files I'm working with:
Bit rate: 75 kbps
size: 320x240
audio codec: wmaudio v8--8kb, 8kHz
vid codec: wmvideo v7
actual fps when playing: 8.0-8.5
Should I be trying to replicate the original settings when rendering my sliced up chunks? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Lee
